What is Supportive Living?

Supportive Living offers adults living with physical disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the privacy of living in their own apartment with the option to choose from a variety of services to maintain their independence.

What services are offered?

Prescription refills, medication reminders, nursing support, coordination of transportation services, weekly housekeeping and laundry services, 3 restaurant style meals, utilities, emergency call system, and recreational activities.

What if I do not need all of these services?

We encourage you to choose the services that will be most convenient for you. Everyone's time is valuable and it is our goal to free up time that you may be spending in managing your health.

Do I need to be in a wheelchair to live there?

No. Individuals with a range of disabilities live at Eden and many do not use wheelchairs.

Can I still go to school or work if I live at Eden?

Absolutely! We encourage individuals to be active and productive in the best way that fits their lifestyle. Many of our residents attend classes or are involved with volunteer work.

Do you allow animals?

Yes. Eden does allow service animals, not pets. The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability. The care and supervision of a service animal is the sole responsibility of his or her owner. As the ADA stipulates, any animal that poses a direct threat to the health or safety of others or displays vicious behavior towards residents and guests may be excluded or asked to leave the property.

Can my spouse live with me?

Yes.

Do I bring my own furniture?

Yes. This is your home and you should decorate it according to your preferences.

Do I need permission to leave the building?

No. Eden is a residential building that is open 24 hours a day. You are welcome to come and go as you please. The concierge registers all in-coming visitors and we have security on staff to monitor the building from 8:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

What do I have to do get the process started?

Please contact us for Chicago at 773-572-6491 or for Fox Valley at 630-929-3333. This will provide you with the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have and to schedule a tour.
